I won QCA's 2022 New Work Grant to put on a 1-woman show featuring viola music and personal storytelling. I will be premiering the event on October 14, 2022 at Jamaica Center for Arts & Learning (JCAL) in Jamaica, Queens, NYC!
I wrote a winning grant for classical violist Ann Roggen, who received a 2022 Arts Fund grant to put on a 3-concert series featuring viola works written by 20th & 21st century BIPOC women composers!
I successfully wrote the annual RFP for Dorchester Senior Citizens Center, to ensure that their funding remains for the next fiscal year!
If you want a list of 10+ grants that you would be most successful at getting, I can provide a Funding Strategy for you to follow for the next 12 to 18 months! This includes me searching through grant databases, finding the best grants for you.
If you're working on a grant already, I can provide additional editing to make the writing direct and easy to understand. I also do sensitivity editing, using my expertise as a social worker and mental health advocate to help you avoid implicit bias, stereotypes or problematic language in your writing.
If you're already working on a grant application, you can meet with me to get input on how well your application fits what the grantors are looking for. It's so important to give them what they want!
One of the biggest challenges that artists face, is brainstorming project ideas that will be attractive to funders. I can help! We can meet to discuss your talents, and create a 1-page Power Prospectus for a project that you can get funding for. This can then be shared with non-profits to promote your work, enabling you to get a fiscal sponsor.
